The Management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially announced that the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session will close on Friday, October 31, 2025. This follows the resolution reached during the Policy Meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) with Vice Chancellors and other key stakeholders in the education sector.
All candidates who have been offered provisional admission into various programs at UNIBEN are strongly advised to accept their admission offers on or before the deadline. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the admission slot, as the university will not process any acceptance after the stated date.
In an official statement, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN, congratulated all newly admitted students and encouraged them to prepare for the start of the new academic year. According to the release, lectures for the 2025/2026 Academic Session will commence on Monday, November 10, 2025.
The management also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the university’s high academic standards and ensuring a smooth transition for all fresh students as they begin their journey as bonafide undergraduates of UNIBEN.
Students are reminded to complete all necessary registration procedures early and stay updated through official UNIBEN communication channels to avoid missing any important information.
